Dehumidifiers explained

What is a dehumidifier?

Dehumidifiers are electrical appliances that remove moisture from indoor air. They are commonly used in areas of the home with high levels of humidity, places where pollutants, allergens and bacteria often develop and thrive.

Dehumidifiers have many benefits. For one, they reduce damp, mould and mildew and the unpleasant odours that accompany them. Another advantage is that they remove the airborne impurities that can trigger allergies. Lastly, by extracting moist air, they stop condensation on windows, assist the drying of laundry indoors and  make your home healthier, drier and more comfortable.

In addition to these benefits, many lexent dehumidifiers feature air purifying technology such as PM (particulate matter) monitoring that can detect & adjust the appliance settings to remove particles down to 2.5 microns. This, coupled with filtering (the true HEPA filter in the POLPERRO model traps 99.7% of particles 0.3 microns or bigger) and UVC (ultra violet) sterilisation & ION generators ensure that the air quality in your home is the very best it can be.
